Berlin Global Advisors welcomes Lieutenant General (ret.) Jürgen-Joachim von Sandrart as Senior Advisor. General von Sandrart served for more than 40 years in the German Army and NATO, culminating in his position as Commanding General of the Multinational Corps North-East.
His previous roles include commanding the 1st Panzer Division, serving as Chief of Staff to the Inspector General of the Bundeswehr, senior positions within the Ministry of Defence, and assignments at SHAPE and the Eurocorps. He completed an operational deployment in Afghanistan in 2011 and held multiple leadership positions in Germany’s armoured and mechanised forces.
The BGA Team looks forward to working with General von Sandrart on resilience, defence and defence industry policy, NATO posture, German and European security and military transformation.
