Michael Best joins Berlin Global Advisors as a partner

The former head of communications of the Bundesbank, Michael Best, is joining Berlin Global Advisors as a partner in the Frankfurt office. Together with Senior Partner Martin Wiesmann and founder Jan F. Kallmorgen, he will expand BGA’s geopolitical and economic advisory services for companies and investors.

The BGA Frankfurt office, which also includes Magnus zu Wied as a partner, is thus growing further and will also intensify its cooperation with investment banks and corporate law firms.

Michael Best, who was responsible for the financial markets coverage at Germany’s leading public broadcaster, ARD, before becoming spokesperson for Jens Weidmann and Joachim Nagel, said: “I am very pleased to support BGA in its further growth. With the global situation becoming more complex by the day, macro volatility is also increasingly impacting capital and currency markets. We see a strong demand from institutional investors for analysis and advice, especially from Frankfurt, the location of the ECB.”

Jan F. Kallmorgen added: ” With his profound knowledge of financial markets, his central bank experience and his expertise in strategic communication, Michael Best is a great asset for BGA. We are proud to have him on board.”
