BGA and CIC Join Forces to Strengthen Germany’s Startup and Scaleup Ecosystem

Optional Subtitle

Against the backdrop of the German government’s new Startup and Scaleup Strategy, Berlin Global Advisors (BGA) and the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) are joining forces to connect international innovation networks with Germany’s political, institutional and business landscape.

On 19 August 2026, BGA and CIC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) laying the foundation for closer cooperation, with an initial focus on Berlin and Munich. The partnership will explore opportunities in strategically important sectors including semiconductors, space, critical infrastructure, raw materials and sustainability. The cooperation builds on existing links between BGA and the CIC ecosystem, including through BGA Senior Advisor Caroline King’s engagement as a Community Mentor at Venture Café Berlin.

By combining CIC’s international innovation ecosystem with BGA’s expertise at the intersection of business, politics and public affairs, the cooperation aims to create stronger links between innovative companies, policymakers and institutional stakeholders in Germany. The shared objective is to turn international innovation into meaningful opportunities for Germany while connecting Germany’s innovation ambitions more closely with global networks, companies and investors.
